Established in 2002 as Wendy Akers PR, the agency got off to a flying start, scooping the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ prestigious Consumer Relationship award for our very successful campaign “Watercress – Not Just a Bit on the Side,” which revitalised the industry and boosted sales by £27 million a year.

MD Wendy Akers has 30 years experience in the communications industry. She started her career as a journalist and moved into the PR sector 20 years ago, working in both corporate and consultancy roles. She has promoted big brands such as Safeway, Muller and Tropicana as well as running “not for profit” campaigns for The National Trust and the RSPCA. Wendy is a member of the Garden Writers’ Guild and holds the RHS General Certificate.

We changed our name in September 2008 from Wendy Akers PR to Mustard Communications Limited to reflect our growth and successes and because we really are “as keen as…..”.
